Cauzele sindromului de ochi uscat pot fi multiple, inclusiv expunerea prelungit\u0103 la ecranele de calculator, mediu uscat, utilizarea excesiv\u0103 a lentilelor de contact sau produc\u021bia insuficient\u0103 de lacrimi. Pentru tratarea ochilor usca\u021bi, exist\u0103 diverse op\u021biuni, cum ar fi utilizarea pic\u0103turilor hidratante, aplicarea c\u0103ldurii umede \u0219i adoptarea unui regim adecvat de hidratare ocular\u0103. \u00cen\u021belegerea simptomelor \u0219i cauzelor sindromului de ochi uscat este esen\u021bial\u0103 pentru a alege cel mai potrivit tratament \u0219i a ob\u021bine un confort ocular optim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Introducere<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Dry eye syndrome<\/strong>\nis a common condition affecting 5-20% of the population, with a prevalence\ndependent on age and lifestyle.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In general, dry eyes are\nassociated with tear film instability , due to insufficient tear production\nof tears or due to excess tear film evaporation. The second\nform is responsible for approximately 80% of dry eye cases.\ndry eye. In this case, we refer to a deficiency in the outer layer\nof the tear film, which is secreted from the meibomian glands, the\nwhich deficiency leads to excess evaporation of the underlying aqueous layer from the\nwithin the tear film, automatically leading to tear film instability and response\ninflammatory response in the ocular superface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the <strong>dysfunction syndrome\nmeibomian gland dysfunction<\/strong> hyperkeratinization of the duct epithelium was evident\nand hyperviscosity of the meibum. Consequently, the terminal duct\nthickened by hyperkeratinisation is partially or totally obstructed by the secretion of\nmeibum thickened in consistency . This results in cystic dilatation of the\nmeibomian glands with a decrease in their secretion. A circle is activated\nvicious circle characterised by excessive evaporation, instability, hyperosmolarity,\ninflammation and local bacterial proliferation. As a result\nvisual disturbances, eye discomfort or foreign body sensation\neye. If the process accelerates, the discomfort becomes almost permanent,\nassociated with a paradoxical production of tears through eye irritation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So far, dry eye syndrome\ndue to excessive tear film evaporation has benefited from multiple avenues of\ntreatment including warm therapy, eyelid hygiene with the help of\ndifferent products, mechanical expression of meibum, specific artificial tears.\nAnti-inflammatories, antibiotics, immunomodulatory agents were taken in\nconsidered as short-term treatment routes in severe cases with\ncomplications or refractory to initial treatment. Adequate control was\ndifficult to achieve and sustain over time, thus accentuating the need for\ndevelopment of more effective alternative therapeutic management. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tratament sindrom de ochi uscat<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Intense Pulsed Light Therapy (IPL)<\/strong>\nhas been generally used in the cosmetic industry for diseases such as\nbenign cavernous haemangiomas, telangiectasias. Initial application of light\nintense pulsed light for dry eye syndrome was performed in 2002 by\nDr Rolando Tayos when a patient who had received IPL treatment\nfor rosacea experienced significant improvements in his symptoms.\ndry eye symptoms. Since then, studies have been initiated with\npromising results. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Therapy\nwith intense pulsed light with <strong>E-EYE equipment<\/strong> is designed and\nmanufactured in France, it is medically certified by organisations\ninternational independent medical organizations and is a specially designed medical\nfor the treatment of dry eyes caused by evaporation. According to the latest\nstudies, it is effective in 80% of dry eye syndrome cases.\nThe equipment generates regular intense pulsed light. It is able to\ngenerate uniform and perfectly calibrated sequences of light pulses, emitting\ncold light' that stimulates the glands\nmeibomian glands in complete safety. In response to this stimulation, the glands\nsecrete more meibum. The normal structure of the tear film is restored\nand the symptoms associated with dry eye syndrome will decrease in intensity\nor disappear.
