Tratamentul pentru cataracta congenital\u0103 implic\u0103 interven\u021bii chirurgicale specializate, care \u00eendep\u0103rteaz\u0103 cataracta \u0219i restabilesc claritatea vizual\u0103. Aceast\u0103 afec\u021biune poate afecta dezvoltarea normal\u0103 a vederii, iar diagnosticul \u0219i tratamentul precoce sunt cruciale pentru a minimiza complica\u021biile permanente. Am auzit vorbindu-se despre aceast\u0103 afec\u021biune la p\u0103rin\u021bii no\u0219tri, la bunici sau la cuno\u0219tin\u021be care au trecut de v\u00e2rsta de 60-65 de ani. Din p\u0103cate cataracta nu este doar o boal\u0103 a \u00eenaint\u0103rii \u00een v\u00e2rst\u0103, ea put\u00e2nd fi diagnosticat\u0103 chiar \u0219i la nou-n\u0103scu\u021bi.<\/span>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<\/p><p>Cataracta pediatric\u0103 este principala cauz\u0103 a sc\u0103derii calit\u0103\u021bii vederii la copii cu un imens impact emo\u021bional, social \u0219i economic at\u00e2t pentru copil c\u00e2t \u0219i pentru familie \u0219i societate. Aceast\u0103 afec\u021biune poate fi tratat\u0103 printr-o diagnosticare precoce \u0219i un management adecvat. \u00cen cele mai multe cazuri copiii cu cataract\u0103 pediatric\u0103 sunt diagnostica\u021bi la screening-ul de rutin\u0103, \u00een timp ce unii sunt adu\u0219i la oftalmolog dup\u0103 ce p\u0103rin\u021bii au observat unele aspecte particulare precum leucocoria (pupila alb\u0103) sau strabismul (devierea globilor Ca adul\u021bi, remarc\u0103m o sc\u0103dere treptat\u0103 a calit\u0103\u021bii vederii, vom schimba frecvent prescrip\u021bia de ochelari, vom prezenta o sensibilitatea mai mare la lumin\u0103 (fotofobie), nu vom mai aprecia corect distan\u021bele. \u00a0\u00cen anumite situa\u021bii c\u00e2nd cataract\u0103 este avansat\u0103, vom observa \u00een c\u00e2mpul pupilar o zon\u0103 albicioas\u0103-cristalinul opacifiat. \u00cen cazul nou-n\u0103scu\u021bilor sau a copiilor mici este destul de greu de apreciat.
