Pe l\u00e2ng\u0103 durere, pacientul descrie o sensibilitate extrem\u0103 la lumin\u0103 (fotofobie) \u0219i o u\u0219oar\u0103 vedere \u00eence\u021bo\u0219at\u0103. <strong>diagnostic de uveit\u0103<\/strong>, trebuie s\u0103 cunoa\u0219tem pu\u021bin\u0103 anatomie ocular\u0103. Ochiul uman are mai multe straturi. Stratul de mijloc, puternic vascularizat, poart\u0103 numele de tract uveal (uveea) \u0219i este format din iris (partea colorat\u0103 a ochiului), corpul ciliar \u0219i coroid\u0103. Uveita reprezint\u0103 inflama\u021bia acestui strat intern. Atunci c\u00e2nd inflama\u021bia afecteaz\u0103 cu prec\u0103dere partea din fa\u021b\u0103 a ochiului, adic\u0103 irisul \u0219i corpul ciliar, afec\u021biunea se nume\u0219te iridociclit\u0103 sau <em>uveit\u0103 anterioar\u0103<\/em>.<\/p><p>Marea problem\u0103 cu care ne confrunt\u0103m \u00een clinic\u0103 este auto-medica\u021bia. Foarte mul\u021bi pacien\u021bi, v\u0103z\u00e2nd c\u0103 au ochiul ro\u0219u, presupun automat c\u0103 au conjunctivit\u0103. Se prezint\u0103 la farmacie, cump\u0103r\u0103 pic\u0103turi cu antibiotic \u0219i a\u0219teapt\u0103 ca problema s\u0103 treac\u0103.<\/p><p>\u00cens\u0103, spre deosebire de conjunctivit\u0103, care este o inflama\u021bie a membranei de la suprafa\u021ba ochiului (adesea \u00eenso\u021bit\u0103 de secre\u021bii g\u0103lbui sau apoase, dar f\u0103r\u0103 durere profund\u0103), uveita este o inflama\u021bie intraocular\u0103. Durerea este profund\u0103, s\u00e2c\u00e2itoare, ochiul l\u0103crimeaz\u0103, dar nu produce puroi.
