Se manifest\u0103 printr-o \u00eence\u021bo\u0219are progresiv\u0103 a acuit\u0103\u021bii vizuale.&#8221;<\/em><\/p><p><strong>Cataracta senil\u0103<\/strong> &#8211; forma legat\u0103 de v\u00e2rst\u0103 &#8211; este inevitabil\u0103. Cristalinul ochiului, transparent \u00een tinere\u021be, se opacifiaz\u0103 treptat ca parte a procesului natural de \u00eemb\u0103tr\u00e2nire. Nu este o boal\u0103 pe care o faci sau nu o faci &#8211; este ceva ce se \u00eent\u00e2mpl\u0103, mai devreme sau mai t\u00e2rziu, la toat\u0103 lumea. transparent\u0103, situat\u0103 \u00een interiorul ochiului, imediat \u00een spatele irisului. Rolul s\u0103u este esen\u021bial: focalizeaz\u0103 lumina pe retin\u0103, permi\u021b\u00e2nd vederea clar\u0103 at\u00e2t la distan\u021b\u0103 c\u00e2t \u0219i la aproape.<\/p><p>Transparen\u021ba cristalinului este asigurat\u0103 de o compozi\u021bie proteic\u0103 foarte specific\u0103. Odat\u0103 cu v\u00e2rsta &#8211; dar \u0219i sub influen\u021ba altor factori precum radia\u021biile UV, diabetul, fumatul sau anumite medicamente &#8211; <strong>proteinele din cristalin se denatureaz\u0103 \u0219i se agregeaz\u0103<\/strong>, form\u00e2nd zone opace.
