Statisticile arat\u0103 c\u0103 retinopatia diabetic\u0103 este principala cauz\u0103 de pierdere a vederii \u00een r\u00e2ndul adul\u021bilor activi la nivel global.<\/p><p>O problem\u0103 major\u0103 \u00een gestionarea acestei afec\u021biuni este falsa percep\u021bie a pacien\u021bilor, a\u0219a cum ne explic\u0103 <strong>Conf. Univ. Dr. Alexandra Preda, PhD, Medic primar oftalmolog<\/strong>:<\/p><p>\u201ePacien\u021bii care au diabet consider\u0103 c\u0103, doar dac\u0103 au probleme cu vederea, este necesar s\u0103 fac\u0103 un <strong>control oftalmologic<\/strong>, ceea ce este <strong>complet gre\u0219it<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p><p>Acest lucru este complet gre\u0219it deoarece <strong>leziunile de diabet care se manifest\u0103 la fundul de ochi<\/strong>, \u00een interiorul ochiului nostru, pot fi <strong>silen\u021bioase<\/strong>. Aceasta \u00eencepe prin a afecta microcircula\u021bia sanguin\u0103 la nivelul retinei \u2013 stratul sensibil la lumin\u0103 situat pe peretele interior al ochiului.<\/p><ul><li><strong>Vase de S\u00e2nge Sl\u0103bite:<\/strong> Nivelul crescut de glucoz\u0103 din s\u00e2nge deterioreaz\u0103 \u00een timp pere\u021bii vaselor de s\u00e2nge retiniene, f\u0103c\u00e2ndu-le s\u0103 devin\u0103 fragile \u0219i s\u0103 se dilate (microanevrisme).<\/li><li><strong>Leziuni Silen\u021bioase:<\/strong> \u00cen stadiile incipiente, de retinopatie non-proliferativ\u0103, leziunile sunt localizate strict la periferia retinei sau nu afecteaz\u0103 direct <strong>macula<\/strong> (zona central\u0103 a vederii). At\u00e2t timp c\u00e2t macula este intact\u0103, <strong>acuitatea vizual\u0103 central\u0103<\/strong> r\u0103m\u00e2ne 100%.<\/li><li><strong>Lipsa Receptorilor:<\/strong> Retina nu con\u021bine receptori de durere.
